TYPESCARF PRÊT À PORTER
SEASON 4 / MONOGRAM COLLECTION
FW 2020 – 2021
TYPESCARF PRÊT-À-PORTER
MONOGRAM COLLECTION
SEASON 4 / FW 2020/2021
This year's collection contains two different scarves.
TYPESCARF
PRÊT À PORTER — MONOGRAM SCARF
„Ready to wear“ has always been one of our main values. The meaning is so simple and natural, just as something you wear everyday, without thinking about it. Bold through our characteristic typographical focus, we added something timeless this season and developed a monogram pattern for our scarf collection. We decided to use beige in combination with a flashy green tone, to highlight the contrast between classy and urban. The wrapping around our necks and heads just finishes the composition of that affordable everyday luxury which leads to our claim „Nowhere Without You“.
TYPESCARF
PRÊT À PORTER — MONOGRAM MASK
In 2020, face masks became part of our everyday life. The reaction to the current time, circumstances and problems is part of our vision at TYPESCARF. For sure fashion cannot replace the importance of medical measures to safe lives but in a way, it can be a playful answer to something everybody has to deal with in that special time. For TYPESCARF season 4 we wanted to turn a face mask into a fashionable piece that makes it more elegant and to play with the silhouette of our scarf. The fact that covering the face and protecting yourself stands both in a medical and also in a visual context to cause an anonymous and also dangerous look led us to the idea to combine every aspect and create one special accessory you have never seen before.

EARTHPASS – KEYHOLDER
TYPEWORLD X SIBYLLE HORNUNG
EARTHPASS 20XX
suggests to imagine how the future of the world and passports might look like. "20XX" indicates that this concept could be ideally possible in this century. The Earthpass is made of Laser-cut Acrylic, and the luminescent surface reminds of the shiny surface of official passport documents. The extension to a keychain accessory underlines the idea of showing to be an Earth-citizen. It reflects inclusivity and equality for being a holder of the Earthpass. The engraving "NO GENDERS. NO BORDERS." enhances these values. The placement of the work is not essential, since the Earthpass reflects that everyone should be able to purchase it. No-one should be judged by its gender, origin or anything other. As the world seems filled with more Bad News every day, the Earthpass 20XX suggests a speculative, optimistic future of the Earth. It is a symbol of connection and celebration of a redefinition of inclusivity and open-mindedness.

BUCKET HAT COLLABORATION
DANCING WITH SWORDS
This season Coeval Magazine and Typeworld teamed up for a special bucket hat collaboration. The collection is inspired by the interaction between the performance of the body and the sword as an aesthetic artifact. The mind is communicating with the supernatural in a playful way of exploring yourself and revealing your inner hero. The awakening of pure power evolved into an acrobatic dance.

TYPESCARF RISE AND SHINE
SEASON 2 / FW 2018 – 2019
TYPESCARF RISE AND SHINE
SEASON 2 / FW 2018/2019
RISE AND SHINE
A strong and stylish youth culture. Captivating underground grunge. Pulsating electro beats and punk bands. White nights and never-ending parties. Unique characters and young artists, surrounded by the ancient urbanism of Sankt Petersburg, with it’s magnificent buildings, gold-plated rooftops and splendid churches – all formed during a communistic and historical era, followed by nervewracking politics and archaic values. Caught between cohesion and rebellion, nostalgia and new-wave, the russian youth stands out in a powerful aura, and forms a polarizing and new aesthetic. The core of this cult is reflected in the composition of the second Typescarf collection. THE POST-SOVIET MOVEMENT.

TYPESCARF DRAMA AND CRISIS
SEASON 1 / FW 2017/2018
DRAMA AND CRISIS
Typescarf was founded 2017 by Philipp Bulk, during his studies at the Muenster School of Design in Germany.
The overall goal of the project was to turn contemporary typography into something wearable, without just printing shirts.
Since then Typescarf developed over the years with an annual theme and concept and is coming back every Fall-Winter season to mirror trends in typography and graphic design. The inspiration for "Drama and Crisis" came from the greek ODYSSEY Epos of Homer.
